About me

I am the parent of two thriving teenagers (a son and daughter) and have been happily married for 22 years. I have an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a B.A in English Literature from the University of Virginia. Prior to being a Psychotherapist I was a High School English teacher and a stay at home Dad. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked for six years as a therapist and behavioral specialist at St Vincent's School for Boys in San Rafael: with boys between the ages of 7-18 with extensive trauma histories.

Home: Welcome

Welcome.

Thanks for visiting my site. I’m a licensed MFT therapist with over twelve years of experience, primarily working with young adults between the ages of 15 and 30. While I specialize in helping clients with ADHD (a condition I also manage), my practice includes and is open to individuals without ADHD as well. I support clients with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, attachment challenges, relational trauma, internet and gaming addictions, and the pursuit of meaning and purpose in life. I also often assist clients in overcoming internalized oppression.

In addition to my therapy practice, I have five years of experience as a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist. This background allows me to offer ADHD coaching, focusing on executive functioning skills and strategies for living with ADHD. I also help clients make meaningful behavioral changes, such as replacing unhealthy habits with healthier ones. With 35 years of meditation and spiritual practice, I am happy to incorporate the spiritual dimension into our work if that is important to you.

My therapeutic approach is primarily rooted in Internal Family Systems therapy and often integrates mindfulness and somatic practices to support holistic healing.

“It is astonishing how elements that seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens, how confusions that seem irremediable turn into relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard.”
